Dear RIMTA Members, Marina Owner/Operator,
Last year The Rhode Island Marine Trades Association negotiated an extended deadline for the implementation of Pressure Wash Water Discharge elimination. This was done to permit the development of new methodologies for treatment. The agreement requires RIMTA to hold a series of workshops to inform marina owner/operators of what is required and what technologies are now available to fulfill the requirements of the regulations.
The New Deadline is January 1, 2011
RIMTA will hold the first of these workshops at Save the Bay’s headquarters in Providence, Rhode Island on Tuesday, June 29th. The workshop is from 8:30 till Noon, refreshments will be served. The fee for attendance is $35.00 for RIMTA members and $45.00 for non RIMTA members. We have attached a draft agenda which is in a state of change so as to keep the agenda tied to the best and most helpful information for all who are impacted by these regulations.
