The Advanced Marina Management (AMM) program is a profit-management training course designed for senior marina professionals and the last training step required for successful applicationof the Certified Marina Managers (CMM) certification.
The RIMTA Roundtable will be held at the19th Annual Providence Boat Show, on Friday, January 13, 2012. The Roundtable topic this year will focus on the newly formed Oceans Caucus of the U. S. Senate and its impact on the Marine Trades. The Caucus will work to increase awareness and find common ground in responding to issues facing the oceans and coasts, which support millions of jobs in America and contribute more to the country’s GDP than the entire farm sector, grossing more than $230 billion in 2004.

RIMTA is extending the deadline for training applications. The new deadline is November 15, 2011.
Through generous support from the RI Governor’s Workforce Board, RIMTA members with a valid business in the state are eligible to apply for financial support for qualified and approved industry skills training. Due to the nature of these funds, certain restrictions do apply:
o Training must begin after November 7, 2011 and be completed by June 1, 2012.
o Training must be connected to a wage increase, a certification and/or a promotion.

MTTI is a nationally accredited post-secondary technical school located in Seekonk, MA, which offers a comprehensive 858-hour course in marine service repair. The program offers students an excellent introduction into many varied skills including:
